Dear colleagues,
The 27th International Congress of History of Science and Technology will be held 29 June-5 July 2025 in Dunedin, New Zealand. The call for symposia, inspired by the theme “Peoples, Places, Exchanges, and Circulation," is now open.
Our society, as one of the subsidiary sections of the Division of History of Science and Technology of the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science, can review symposia proposed by our members internally. The symposia we support will then automatically be accepted by the conference organizers provided, of course, that they follow the general guidelines.
The Board of ISHEASTM is now calling for symposium proposals from members of the Society. Any member interested in organizing a symposium should find a co-organizer based in a different country than their own. Together they fill out the proposal form attached, adhering to the general guidelines. We encourage co-organizers to make every effort to have a diversified line-up, striving for a balance in terms of gender, seniority, and geographic background among presenters. Do not hesitate to use our ISHEASTM mailing list (isheastm2015@googlegroups.com) to find co-organizers and speakers.
Please send your filled-out proposal forms to me via e-mail (mario.cams@kuleuven.be) by 1 March 2024, so that the Board is able to review the proposals in time for the April 1 2024 deadline set by the conference organizers.
Best wishes,
Mario
Secretary for ISHEASTM
